Buildings are reminders of our history. When we tear them down, we can lose part of our story, our journey, and our growth!

On September 1, 2023, the Sisters of St. Joseph, invited former students, friends, and neighbors to fortify the walls of St. Benedict with faith!
Some marked the walls with Scripture, Maxims, poems, and prayers. Many people remembered friends
and family members who attended St. Benedict the Moor with tribute messages.

Sharing their vision . . .
On 8/16/2022, the Sisters of St. Joseph installed a sign showing an artist rendering of what St. Benedict the Moor School will look like once restored. Native plants, flowers and the oak trees will surround the grand Victorian wrap-around porch. The street parking will not be affected because a small parking area will be made available. The Sisters will celebrate the heritage of which St. Benedict the Moor was built through artwork, memorabilia, while restoring the pride and a spirit for which this community is known.
